Keyboard shortcuts ⌨️

Keyboard shortcuts are little key combinations that save you clicks. You don't need any of them to use TSync — but once a few become second nature, you'll move through your day noticeably faster. This page lists the ones worth learning, grouped by where you'll use them.

One thing to know up front: on a Mac, wherever you see Ctrl, press ⌘ (Command) instead.

If you only remember one shortcut, make it Ctrl + K — it's the fastest way to get anywhere in TSync.

Tab straight to the content

Press Tab once on any admin page and the first thing that appears is Skip to content. Press Enter and you land in the working area of the page, past the whole top bar and sidebar.

It matters more than it sounds. Before this, reaching the first control inside the page took 59 presses of Tab — on every page load. The link is invisible until you tab to it, so it never gets in the way of anyone using a mouse.

If you use a screen reader, the page now also announces its own title as a heading and offers the usual landmarks — banner, navigation, main — so you can jump by region instead of tabbing through everything.

In the customer portal, the buttons that carried only an icon now say their names: show password, generate a password, attach a file, switch the task view, cancel a ticket status change. Nothing changes visually — the difference is for people who cannot see the screen, and the portal is the part your customers use.

Press Ctrl + K (⌘ + K on a Mac) from any screen and the Global Search palette pops open. Start typing — a customer name, an invoice number, a lead, a project, or just a page name — and TSync shows matching results, with the most relevant and most recently used at the top. Global Search finds any page or feature by name (in Romanian, Russian or English, and it ignores accents) as well as your records, so you never have to remember where a screen lives. Pick a result and you're there. For the full tour, see the Global search guide.

Shortcut What it does
Ctrl + K / ⌘ + K Open the search box from anywhere
↑ ↓ Move up and down through the results
Enter Open the result you've highlighted
Esc Close the search box without going anywhere
Click outside Also closes the search box

On a project page, the same Ctrl + K search is focused on that project's tabs, so you can hop between sections of the project quickly. More in the Project management guide.

Jump straight to a section — the G shortcuts

To jump to a TSync page, press G, then a letter — that is, tap and release G, then tap the letter. For example, G then P opens Projects. This little two-step replaced the older "Shift + letter" combos, which had a habit of firing by accident whenever you typed a capital letter.

You'll only see the jumps for the parts of TSync you have access to, and they never fire while you're typing in a box, so they won't get in your way.

Press ? (just the question mark) at any time to pop open the full list of shortcuts right inside TSync — and Esc to close it (or any other overlay).

Press Goes to
G then P Projects
G then T Tasks
G then L Leads
G then C New customer
G then I New invoice
G then E New expense
G then N New goods receipt (NIR)
G then D New delivery
G then B Finance & Bank
G then R Treasury
G then G GL mapping
G then V TSync EVA
G then M Companies (when multi-company is on)

These are safe by design: every G shortcut just opens a page — none of them deletes, posts or changes anything.

Getting around forms and windows

These work almost everywhere in TSync.

Shortcut What it does
Tab Move forward to the next field
Shift + Tab Move back to the previous field
Ctrl + S Save the form you're filling in
Esc Close the pop-up window that's currently open

Editing text (descriptions, notes, proposals)

When you're typing into one of TSync's rich text boxes — a task description, a note, a proposal — these familiar shortcuts work just like they do in a word processor.

Shortcut What it does
Ctrl + B Bold
Ctrl + I Italic
Ctrl + U Underline
Ctrl + Z Undo your last change
Ctrl + Y / Ctrl + Shift + Z Redo
Ctrl + K Add a link to the selected text

Good to know: Ctrl + K does double duty. While your cursor is inside a text box, it adds a link. Click out of the text box first, and the same keys open the TSync search box instead.

Working with lists and tables

Your invoices, estimates, tasks and projects all show up in sortable lists. A couple of handy moves:

Shortcut What it does
/ or Ctrl + F Search the page (your browser's own find)
Click a column heading Sort the list by that column
Shift + Click a column heading Sort by a second column as well

The task board (kanban)

The task board is mostly drag-and-click, but the keyboard still helps:

Shortcut What it does
Esc Close an open status menu or task window
Tab, then Space or Enter Step to a card and open it

A note on why these keys

We deliberately avoid shortcuts that would clash with your browser (like Ctrl + F to find, Ctrl + R to reload, or Ctrl + T for a new tab), so TSync never gets in the way of how your browser already works. And Ctrl + K for the search box is the same convention you'll find in tools like Slack, Notion and GitHub — so it should feel familiar from day one.
