# ⭐ Client feedback (CSAT)

**Project Feedback** collects a satisfaction score — a **CSAT** rating from 1 to 5 stars — plus an
optional comment from your clients about a **completed project**. You send the client a private link;
they rate the project on a simple public page **without logging in**. The ratings appear on the
project and roll up into a satisfaction report. It replaces the older feedback module.

It is **off by default**. Nothing changes until an administrator turns it on.

## Turning it on

1. **Install** the module from **Config Center → Module Management** (Module Management Center) — or
from the Modules page. Its tables are created automatically.
2. Open the **Project feedback** card in the **Config Center** (always available, even while the
   module is inert).
3. Go to **Project feedback → Settings** and set:

| Setting | What it does |
|---------|--------------|
| **Module status** | **Off (inert)** or **On**. When On, *Project feedback* appears in the sidebar and a *Client feedback* panel appears on each project. |
| **Automatically create a feedback request when a project is marked complete** | When ticked, finishing a project automatically prepares a feedback link for you to send. |
| **Project "completed" status id** | Which project status counts as *completed* (the platform default is **4**). |

## Asking a client for feedback

There are two ways to start a feedback request:

- **From a project** — open the project and use the **Client feedback** panel → **Generate feedback
link**. Copy the link that appears and send it to your client (by email, chat, etc.).
- **Automatically** — turn on *"Automatically create a feedback request when a project is marked
complete"* in Settings. When a project reaches your completed status, a **pending** request with a
ready-to-send link is created for you.

Each project has **at most one pending request at a time** — generating again simply reuses the same
link, so a client never gets two. The module prepares the link; **sending it to the client is up to
you.**

## The public feedback form (what the client sees)

The client opens the link — **no account or login needed**. They get a clean, self-contained page
showing:

- your **company name**,
- a **1–5 star** rating to choose,
- an optional **comment** box, and
- a **Send feedback** button.

After they send, a **Thank-you** message appears. Each link accepts **one response**; a link that was
already answered, is invalid, or has expired shows a friendly message instead. If the module is turned
off, the page politely says feedback is unavailable.

## Viewing the results

Open **Project feedback** in the sidebar:

- A **CSAT summary** — the **average rating** (out of 5) and the total **number of responses**.
- A **table of all requests**: the project, the status, the rating (as stars), the comment, the date,
and — for pending ones — the **link** you can copy and send.

Request statuses:

| Status | Meaning |
|--------|---------|
| **Pending** | A link exists but the client hasn't answered yet. |
| **Responded** | The client submitted a rating (and maybe a comment). |
| **Expired** | The request is no longer open. |

On each **project page**, the **Client feedback** panel lists that project's responses — the stars,
the comment and the date — right where your team works.

## The satisfaction report

A **Client satisfaction (CSAT)** report is available in the **TSync Reports** console (under the
*Projects* category). It lists every response with the project, the rating (averaged), the comment and
the date, and can be **exported to Excel, CSV or PDF** and shown as a **chart**. It uses the *View
project feedback* permission.

## Permissions & privacy

Two permission levels control the module (set per role under **Setup → Roles**):

- **View project feedback** — see the console, the project panel and the CSAT report.
- **Manage feedback requests** — generate feedback links and change the settings.

The public form is reachable **only with the exact secret link** (a long, random token) — there is no
way to browse other clients' forms, and no client login is involved. Each link accepts a single
response, and every submitted rating is written to the **audit log**.
