# 📍 Addresses & localities

Every address field in TSync — on a client, a supplier, your own company, a lead, an economic partner, or the
lead card — suggests real localities and streets as you type. You pick one instead of typing it.

That sounds small. It is the difference between a database where "Chișinău", "Chisinau", "mun. Chisinau" and
"CHIȘINĂU" are four different places, and one where they are one place you can actually group a report by.

## What it knows

- **Localities and administrative units** for Moldova and Romania, from the official registers (CUATM for MD,
  SIRUTA for RO).
- **Postal codes.**
- **Streets**, where the official data provides them.

It ships with the data packaged, so nothing has to be downloaded or imported by hand on a new install.

## How you use it

Start typing in any address field. After two letters you get suggestions; choose one.

**Diacritics do not matter.** Typing `chisinau` finds *Chișinău*, and `bucuresti` finds *București*. That is
deliberate: people type without diacritics far more often than with them, and a suggestion list that only
matches perfectly typed input is a suggestion list nobody uses.

If what you need genuinely is not in the list — a new street, a village under a name the register does not carry
— you can still type freely. The field never blocks you. It suggests.

## Where it appears

The same behaviour on all six places an address is entered:

## Turning it on

It is **off by default**, like every optional module. Switch it on in **Setup → Modules**, then in the module's
own settings. Once on, the address fields start suggesting — there is nothing to configure per field.

## What it does not do yet

- **Coordinates and reverse geocoding** — turning an address into a point on a map, or a point back into an
  address.
- **Fleet and vehicle location.**

Both are planned. Neither is present today, and the module does not pretend otherwise: nothing in the interface
offers a map.

## Good to know

- **Nothing is sent anywhere.** The data is on your own install; typing an address does not consult an outside
  service. That is a deliberate choice, not an omission.
- **An upgrade refreshes the data by itself.** If a new version ships updated registers, the module seeds them
  on the first admin page load — you do not run an import.
- **A locality that exists but does not appear** in the suggestions usually means the module is on but the data
  for that country has not been seeded. That is visible in the module's own console.
